NativeNow! has been active in cultural exchange with people from all over the world from Austria since 1996. We visit people in their everyday environment and try to find out something about their real living conditions. Our close cooperation with teachers and students of the Navajo Nation is an example of one of our long-term projects.

We see the possibility of clearing up historical misunderstandings in living traditions. In this way we create the basis for communicating with each other without prejudice, removing the obstacles of cultural arrogance and building a new relationship of trust with the greatest respect.

NativeNow! invites you to get to know the unknown, to absorb what is foreign, to collect and pass on experience, to exchange opinions, to compare and document results.

NativeNow! sees itself as an educational initiative that imparts diverse knowledge in a lively manner.
Learning from each other, discovering the intellectual and cultural wealth of our world together, in order to develop and implement ideas for a common future together – that is one of the goals of NativeNow!.
The slogan “think global, act local” sets NativeNow! specifically about. The expansion and maintenance of our worldwide network is therefore an essential part of the work of NativeNow!. People from the fields of education, culture, media, business and politics support NativeNow! and find in us a competent and creative partner for the realization of international projects.

We recognize the need for a positive definition of home and identity. We act in awareness of our own roots. “Home” is our starting point and our support. Building bridges from my homeland to your homeland, establishing connections between real people in the real world, in order to learn from one another and work together with openness, patience and respect – that is the task of NativeNow!

A globally thinking humanity that cultivates its cultural diversity and takes on its common responsibility – that is the world of NativeNow! Our home in the heart of Europe, on the historically drawn border between East and West, is the starting point for all our activities. Here, at the heart of the network, we collect and present the results.

NativeNow! betreibt seit 1996 von Österreich aus aktiven kulturellen Austausch mit Menschen in aller Welt. Wir besuchen Menschen in ihrem alltäglichen Umfeld und versuchen, etwas über ihre realen Lebensbedingungen zu erfahren. Unsere enge Kooperation mit Lehrern und Schülern der Navajo Nation ist ein Beispiel für eines unserer Langzeitprojekte.

Wir erkennen in den lebendigen Traditionen die Möglichkeit, historische Missverständnisse aufzuklären. Damit schaffen wir die Basis, vorurteilsfrei miteinander zu kommunizieren, die Hindernisse der kulturellen Arroganz wegzuräumen und mit grösstem Respekt ein neues Vertrauensverhältnis aufzubauen.

NativeNow! öffnet Wege im realen Raum.
NativeNow! lädt ein, Unbekanntes kennenzulernen, Fremdes aufzunehmen, Erfahrungen zu sammeln und weiterzugeben, Meinungen auszutauschen, Ergebnisse zu vergleichen und zu dokumentieren.
NativeNow! versteht sich als Bildungsinitiative, die vielfältiges Wissen lebendig vermittelt.

Voneinander lernen, gemeinsam den geistig-kulturellen Reichtum unser Welt entdecken, um miteinander Ideen für eine gemeinsame Zukunft zu entwickeln und umzusetzen – das ist ein Ziel von NativeNow!.

Das Schlagwort „Global denken, lokal handeln“ setzt NativeNow! konkret um. Ausbau und Pflege unseres weltweiten Netzwerkes ist daher ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der Arbeit von NativeNow!. Menschen aus den Bereichen Bildung, Kultur, Medien, Wirtschaft und Politik unterstützen NativeNow! und finden in uns einen kompetenten und kreativen Partner zur Realisierung internationaler Projekte.

Wir erkennen die Notwendigkeit einer positiven Definition von Heimat und Identität. Wir agieren im Bewusstsein um unsere eigenen Wurzeln. „Heimat“ ist unser Ausgangspunkt und unser Rückhalt. Von meiner Heimat zu deiner Heimat Brücken bauen, in der realen Welt zwischen realen Menschen Verbindungen herstellen, um mit Offenheit, Geduld und Respekt voneinander zu lernen und miteinander zu arbeiten – das ist die Aufgabe von NativeNow!

Eine global denkende Menschheit, die ihre kulturelle Vielfalt pflegt und ihre gemeinsame Verantwortung wahrnimmt – das ist die Welt von NativeNow! Unsere Heimat im Herzen Europas, an der von der Geschichte gezogenen Grenze zwischen Ost und West, ist Ausgangspunkt all unserer Aktivitäten. Hier, im Mitelpunkt des Netzwerkes, sammeln und präsentieren wir die Ergebnisse.
